2021 Blog Goals

Driving by the mountains in Oahu, Hawaii

Over the years, I’ve let this blog sort of wither. If I’m not in full gear, the engine is usually turned off. And, it really is time for a tune up! Although I could blame work, responsibilities, and, at times, poor health as reasons why, I simply can’t. Life does have a way of changing the light red when you really need a green. But, I’ve managed to make time before so there isn’t a reason why I can’t still.

With 2020 finally in the rearview mirror, I’m determined to make my blog better in 2021. To make sure I don’t stray off course, I’m placing my goals out there on the internet universe for all to see. And, if I don’t hold true to these objectives, I have all of you to hold me accountable.

So, what do I hope to accomplish in 2021?

  1. I will create and maintain a quarterly editorial calendar that will include dates about epilepsy events and fundraisers. Also, I’ll write about the information I’ve learned in my posts.
  2. I will resume my Monday Reflections posts where I think about everything that’s happened the week before and contemplate on the lessons I’ve learned.
  3. I will set aside five hours each week and dedicate them to reorganize and redesign my website. A new look is long overdue, and by Purple Day, March 26, it will be ready!

My computer is charged. My playlist is ready. And, I’m ready to take on this journey and see what’s waiting for me at the end of the road.

Ready, Set, GO!

About me? I’m never good at these things, but here are the basics. I’m a journalism and film graduate from the University of Texas at Austin. I'm a dedicated digital content nerd with over eight years of experience in digital content management, content writing, copy editing, and project management. Currently, I'm a staff writer for The American Genius, and I manage my personal blog that advocates for epilepsy awareness. I LOVE to bake! I like to challenge myself to learn new decorating and baking techniques. And although I’d love to say I’ve mastered everything and have never burnt a dessert, it simply isn’t true.
