The Unavoidable: Death

We live. We die.
In between, we smile.
We laugh. We cry.
We inhale. We exhale.
The circle goes on and on.

We go on about our day never realizing that today might just be our ending. Death is unavoidable, and unfortunately, sometimes comes when least expected.

Just the other day, on my way back from lunch, I passed by a car accident. The scene before me was one of bent metal, broken glass and smoke. Ambulances and firetrucks made a barrier between the crash and the rest of the road. Yet, through the small open spaces, I could see a body bag on the ground.

I don’t know who this person was, or what it is they did. I just know they weren’t alive anymore.

We go about our day not knowing that something like this could happen because we don’t know what date is set for us. All in all, life is meant to be lived so we should just make the most of what time we do have.

Living
Is
Fruitful
Exciting

Although it’s amazing,
Nothing lasts forever.
Destiny will always find you.

Despite
Everything
All
Things
Happen for a reason

Conclusions will come.
Years filled with good and bad,
Create wonderful memories
Love will keep them alive,
Even until the end of time.

About me? I’m never good at these things, but here are the basics. I’m a journalism and film graduate from the University of Texas at Austin. I'm a dedicated digital content nerd with over eight years of experience in digital content management, content writing, copy editing, and project management. Currently, I'm a staff writer for The American Genius, and I manage my personal blog that advocates for epilepsy awareness. I LOVE to bake! I like to challenge myself to learn new decorating and baking techniques. And although I’d love to say I’ve mastered everything and have never burnt a dessert, it simply isn’t true.
