Monday Reflections: Change

Everyday we are consumed in our daily routines, never really noticing the passage of time. We go from point A to point B and back to the beginning all over again. Today I reflect on the changes that come with the passing of time.

A scale of change occurs everyday. It’s in the tiny, monumental moment where you forget your phone at home and become void of mobile social media. It’s in the week where unforeseen circumstances cause you to reorganize your entire schedule. It’s especially in those highly emotional decisions that take you to a new stage in life.

Big or small, change is inevitable. For the most part, I can say that the changes in my life have been for the best. I’ve needed both the good and the bad to get me to where I am today.

There is no escaping change, and there is no telling what it might be. We just have to hope for the best and embrace it.

About me? I’m never good at these things, but here are the basics. I’m a journalism and film graduate from the University of Texas at Austin. I'm a dedicated digital content nerd with over eight years of experience in digital content management, content writing, copy editing, and project management. Currently, I'm a staff writer for The American Genius, and I manage my personal blog that advocates for epilepsy awareness. I LOVE to bake! I like to challenge myself to learn new decorating and baking techniques. And although I’d love to say I’ve mastered everything and have never burnt a dessert, it simply isn’t true.
