Seizing the Moment: Time to Drive

The required six-month seizure free restriction for driving in Texas has finally come and passed. Now, it’s time to get out of the passenger’s seat and step on the gas!

I’m 26, and I still don’t know how to drive. For years, seizures kept my mind on auto-pilot, and the bumps on the road always took me downhill. This isn’t the case anymore because I now have the wheel! If there is a fork in the road, a simple turn will offer me a beautiful, new perspective.

This new journey will be both exciting and frightening, but new things always are. The traffic jam in my brain has cleared so let’s get on the road and drive on!

About me? I’m never good at these things, but here are the basics. I’m a journalism and film graduate from the University of Texas at Austin. I'm a dedicated digital content nerd with over eight years of experience in digital content management, content writing, copy editing, and project management. Currently, I'm a staff writer for The American Genius, and I manage my personal blog that advocates for epilepsy awareness. I LOVE to bake! I like to challenge myself to learn new decorating and baking techniques. And although I’d love to say I’ve mastered everything and have never burnt a dessert, it simply isn’t true.
